Coming back in 2022 to help out as an instructor for the first time.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #734854;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Wilderness Biography<\/span><\/em><em>: I started backpacking in 1997 and went on a month long trip to Nepal without really knowing anything. Had an incredible experience but decided to sign up for WTC to learn some skills for future trips. It really opened my eyes to the possibilities of exploring places outside of established trails as well as giving me the confidence to do it. Since taking WTC I try to take a few trips every year to different areas of the Sierras and climb a few peaks along the way (88 SPS peaks).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #734854;\"><em style=\"color: #734854;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Interests<\/span><\/em><em><span style=\"color: #734854;\">: Hiking, backpacking, mountaineering, running, skiing, soccer, helping with the backpacking and rock climbing program in my son\u2019s boy scout troop<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #734854;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Something unique about me<\/span><\/em><em>: I started running in order to help maintain my fitness for backpacking.
