Sierra Club / WTC Biography:  I took WTC in 2013, came back as staff in 2014 and never looked back. I’ve met tons of wonderful people, climb a lot and continue to learn and enjoy being part of a team of people dedicated to making the wilderness accessible, safe and fun. Its been a total blast.

Wilderness Biography: My earliest wilderness impression was a memorable week-long family camping trip to Yosemite National Park – I was nine at the time. Four years later I moved to British Columbia’s “Great Bear Rainforest” to a quaint home in the forest with ferns waist high. It was amazing. I spent every spare moment in those woods and nearby shore although fate eventually brought me back to L.A. Then, the summer after high school  I enrolled in college for a ten day field geology course backpacking in the High Sierras – I was never quite the same. Later, over many summers, my wife and I took our family camping all over the western United States. 

Interests: Mountaineering, rock climbing, hiking, backpacking, canoeing, travel and fishing.

Something unique about me:  I have traveled extensively in China, Cambodia and Thailand
